Bamboo burning in a wildfire

Bamboo (most species) are grasses, and have been identified in general as fire-hazardous vegetation that should not be maintained in the Defensible Space zone around homes. This video shows bamboo burning intensely. The loud crackling sound are the individual culms “popping” as they become superheated by fire.
