Ember Stomp Exhibits

Fire Smart Landscaping Exhibition:

This large and immersive exhibit created by Yardzen, a landscaping design company based in Marin County, invites you to experience the upside of firesmart landscapes– beautiful, functional designs that match aesthetics of home to yard.  Are you seeking a modern California look?  An eclectic Bohemian feel? A traditional craftsman or more formal European design?  Yardzen offers solutions that inspire and lower risks of home ignition.

Home Hardening Demonstration Area

Up to 90% of homes that burn during a wildfire are ignited by burning embers. Demonstrations of new products such as sprinkler systems, vents and gutters, fire retardants, fire resistant building materials, and improved maintenance systems can change the odds in your favor. Learn about products and services available to protect you and your family from the risks of wildfire.  Whether you are considering a new fence, need to limb up your trees, or are installing gutter guards, a deck or a sprinkler system, a wide array of vendors will be at Ember Stomp to help you with all your home safety projects.

Live Burn

A live burn demonstration will show how fire resistant design and materials fare better than traditional features.

Art Exhibit

Presented by Marin Cultural Services and Fire Safe Marin, this juried show will feature 60 works from local artists exploring what it means to adapt to wildfire. The exhibition is intended to inspire thought and conversation about our changing relationship with nature; how the threat of wildfire affects us individually and collectively; and the connection between climate change and wildfire.

Fire Safe Marin and Marin Center Cultural Services invite artists to submit works of art exploring what it means to adapt to wildfire. Juried selected works will be exhibited at Ember Stomp, an annual Wildfire Prevention Festival at the Civic Center Fairgrounds on May 20, 2023. The art will then be shown at the Marin County Civic Center Gallery from May-August 2023.
