The Chipper Day team is pleased to announce that the Curbside Chipper Day Program, funded by the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA), is once again back for its third season.
In the 2021 season, Marin County residents removed over 14,600 cubic yards of flammable vegetation from residential areas and eliminated over 18,500 kg of CO2 emissions from private trips to disposal sites. This year, our team is committed to improving on that progress and continuing to make Marin County a Fire safe community. In order to do so, we need your help in spreading the word about the opportunities the Chipper Day Program has to offer.
Important Information
- As was the case during our previous season, all neighborhoods will have two separate chipper events during the season. The season will run from May 16 – October 28, 2022.
- Season pre-registration will open March 15th, 2022.
- The pile size limit has been increased to 20 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet.
Once program pre-registration is open, residents must visit https://www.chipperday.com/marin in order to reserve a pickup for their scheduled event. Residents will also find helpful information to assist them in successfully participating in their event.
If you or any of your neighbors have further questions beyond what is found on our website, please email us at chipper@firesafemarin.org. We look forward to your participation in the 2022 season and hope that you will help us spread the word about Chipper Days!
