Chipper Day

Announcing Chipper Day 2023!

The Chipper Day team is pleased to announce that the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) Curbside Chipper Day Program is once again back for its third season.

In the 2022 season, Marin County residents removed over 10,500 cubic yards of flammable vegetation from residential areas. This year the MWPA team is committed to improving on that progress and continuing to make Marin County a Fire Safe community. In order to do so, they need your help in spreading the word about the opportunities the Chipper Day Program has to offer.

2023 Chipper program has officially opened, scheduled registration info is now available.

*Pre-registration is required.

New for 2023

  • This season, all residents will have 5 chipping events throughout the year, more than doubling the regular season opportunities.
  • Season pre-registration will open March 15th, 2023.
  • Residents will be able to “drop a pin” on their exact pile location and check on their reservation status through the website.

Watch our video with tips on making a proper chipper “pile” for pick-up at your home.
