IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY THIS SITE IS NOT MONITORED. FOR CURRENT INFORMATION GO TO HTTPS://EMERGENCY.MARINCOUNTY.GOV.

As we step into 2025, the devastating fires in LA County and the thousands displaced or left without homes have been a sobering reminder of the importance of individual and community preparedness—especially for evacuations. While Red Flag Warnings are less frequent in Marin during winter, the risks remain, and taking small, incremental steps now can make a big difference later.

At Fire Safe Marin, we’re taking our own advice: mapping out projects for each month, starting with an insurance audit to ensure we’re protected. Join us in reviewing your coverage, learn how to get involved with a Firewise neighborhood, sign up for a field trip with Marin Wildfire, and start pruning for fire safety. Together, we can make preparedness manageable and effective.

Stay tuned this year as we share our own personal projects and successes preparing for wildfire! Click here to learn about our team.
