Lucas Valley Chipper Day August 16

Free Chipper Day Thurs. Aug. 16th – Registration Required

Lucas Valley Homeowners Association and Fire Safe Marin are sponsoring a free chipepr day for residents of the HOA and Firewise USA Community.

Event Date: 16-Aug-2018 

Chipper Day Thursday August 16th – Free Curbside chipping and removal

Please consider replacing this hazardous vegetation – bamboo, cypress, juniper, pampas and jubata grass, and conifer trees – with fire resistant plants to maintain defensible space around your home.

Restrictions: Material to be chipped should be in organized piles of wood and brush at your curb by 8:00am on Aug. 16th. The material must NOT contain nails, screws, building or fencing materials, wire, cement, rock, stumps or root balls (those materials will be left behind).

Emphasis is on fire hazardous vegetation, though all species are accepted.

Registration required to assure your address is included:

Information needed: resident name, address, phone or e-mail for chipper day notifications. Call 415-499-0871 or e-mail (preferred) kjones@lvha.net.

Help requested: LVHA is now a recognized Firewise U.S.A. Participating Site. This information will help maintain our LVHA Firewise Site certification and secure a grant to help pay for our chipper day.

a) Number of hours you spend and/or your cost for others to remove the vegetation to be chipped;

b) Before and after pictures, particularly of fire hazardous plants such as bamboo, cypress, juniper and conifers.
