San Rafael, CA – Fire Safe Marin proudly announces the return of Ember Stomp, Marin County’s annual wildfire prevention festival, taking place at the Marin Civic Center Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11 AM to 4 PM.

As California continues to face escalating wildfire risks, Ember Stomp offers a powerful opportunity for the community to come together, learn, and take action. This free, family-friendly festival is dedicated to wildfire education, preparedness, and resilience.

Last year’s event drew over 5,000 attendees who experienced powerful live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and expert insights. In 2025, Ember Stomp promises to surpass expectations, offering an even more dynamic and immersive experience. With expanded exhibits, new interactive features, and inspiring demonstrations, this year’s festival will give the community even more tools and knowledge to become wildfire-resilient.

“Ember Stomp is truly one of a kind—there’s nothing else like it in California,” said Novato Fire Chief Bill Tyler. “Year after year, we’re seeing more residents eager for proactive solutions and real answers to wildfire risks. This festival has become a place where people of all ages can learn, connect, and create lasting memories—while gaining the practical tools they need to protect their homes and communities.”

Event Highlights:

Live Burn Demonstration: Witness the dramatic difference that ember-resistant building materials and retrofitting techniques can make in slowing fire spread.
Interactive Kids Zone: Enjoy bilingual activities, family games, and engaging entertainment for all ages.
Emergency Preparedness Resources: Connect with local fire agencies, emergency services, and wildfire experts to get tips, tools, and resources.
Fire-Resilient Landscaping Exhibit: Learn from Marin Master Gardeners about creating defensible space and selecting fire-smart plants.
Goats at Work: Meet the grazing goats that help manage vegetation and reduce wildfire fuel across Marin County.

In addition to festival favorites, Ember Stomp 2025 will introduce new, cutting-edge exhibits and simulations that explore climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and fire suppression innovations—offering attendees a deeper and more interactive experience.
