All funds allocated to the MWPA Resident Grant Program for FY 2023/24 have been awarded. The rate at which the program’s funding was exhausted these past three months reflects Marin’s increasingly proactive response to the growing threat of wildfire and increased engagement in MWPA programs since the county voted for its creation in 2020. To highlight this ongoing investment: for every dollar the MWPA has contributed to defensible space and home hardening through the resident grant program, residents have invested seven!
The application will temporarily remain open, so that residents who have recently completed work may apply, as a placeholder, if additional funds are made available in the coming months.
