Join us for a public field trip!
MWPA, Novato Fire Protection District, and the ESP Partnership are co-hosting a site visit to see fire fuel reduction work for the Greater Novato Shaded Fuel Break Project. This project is currently in Phase 1 of implementation by Novato FPD.
Date/Time: October 26th, 1pm-3pm
Meeting Location: This field trip includes TWO locations.
Location 1: Please meet at the parking lot near the skate park on Hamilton Parkway, here, by 1pm.
Location 2: Please meet on Marin Valley Drive south of Green Oak Drive, here, at approximately 2pm.
Parking: Street parking, please carpool if possible
Hiking: Location 1 includes a 0.25 mile walk along pavement. Location 2 includes an approximately 350-foot walk on uneven ground along Marin Valley Drive.
Weather: We’ll watch the weather forecast and provide an update if rain or extreme heat is predicted and send an update via email.
