How to Pack a Grab and Go Bag
Collect what’s on your Top Ten List (what would you grab if given 10 min. to evacuate and where they are located), which may include the following:
- Wallet, ID’s, keys, cell phone & charger
- Important documents , stored on portable hard drive or thumb drive
- Prescription Medications, Personal Hygiene Items, Eyeglasses & Hearing Aid Batteries
- Laptop computer
- Special items for infants, elderly, or disabled family members
- Flashlight, extra batteries
- Safety goggles, cotton gloves and a dust mask for each family member
- Emergency Contact phone numbers, including Out of Area contact (outside Bay Area)
- Pet leash and/or carrying box and small amount of pet food
- Cash in small denominations
