What to expect from the virtual event:

As part of Ecologically Sound Practices (ESP) Partnership Forum, the online “Roots, Relationships, Resilience” presentation on June 9 will cover the history and current role of Fire Safe Marin (FSM), the oldest Fire Council in California and the outreach and educational arm of Marin Wildfire. The presentation will provide crucial information about preparing yourself and home for wildfire and dive into the latest on how to evacuate, harden your home, and create a fire smart yard.

Delivered by topic experts Fire Chief Bill Tyler, Executive Director of FSM, and Stuart Tanenberg, the Firewise Community Liaison.

Why you should attend:

In addition to gaining insights and important topical updates from wildfire preparedness experts Fire Chief Bill Tyler and Stu Tanenberg, the discussion will feature several key partners. Among them is Kathleen Cutter of Ember Ready and Marin Wildfire, whose work over the years with UC Marin Master Gardeners, Fire Safe Marin, and ESP gives her a valuable perspective on the importance of community collaboration.

Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.
