Fire detection cameras help firefighters and emergency managers locate and monitor wildfires across Marin County.
ALERTCalifornia is a statewide network of high-definition cameras used to improve situational awareness and support emergency response, providing live access to these camera feeds. ALERTCalifornia gives federal, state, and local agencies access to its camera network, AI tools, and real-time data to help guide wildfire response and other emergency decisions. Additionally, it shares data with researchers and partners to better understand wildfire behavior, post-fire hazards, fuel regrowth, and longer-term environmental impacts.

For the public in Marin, these cameras offer a way to see current conditions, observe smoke or fire activity, and better understand what may be happening nearby. The cameras operate 24 hours a day and can pan, tilt, zoom, and monitor large areas, including at night.
