The Marin County Council of Mayors & Councilmembers (MCCMC) invites you to a timely conversation about what a potentially powerful El Niño could mean for Marin County.
Climate scientist Dr. Daniel Swain will discuss the potential for heavy rainfall, inland flooding, and prolonged coastal and bayside flooding. Elevated local sea levels could intensify these impacts, potentially pushing water above historic levels along key transportation corridors, including Highways 101 and 37.
Following the presentation, a panel of local specialists will discuss what these conditions could mean for Marin and answer questions from the audience. The panel will be moderated by MCCMC Chair Gabe Paulson.
The event is hosted by MCCMC and co-hosted by Marin Conservation League, Ecologically Sound Practices, and Marin Wildfire.
